Ongata Academy

As a parent, you have every reason to admit your young children in our Kindergarten program. At this stage, we do not just offer academic learning to the young children, but we also concentrate on their emotional, social and psychological development, which is important in their overall development. At Ongata Academy, we strive to provide specific needs of young children in order to maximize their intellectual capacity and prepare them for future challenges.

We encourage parents to admit their children to our Kindergarten program as early as 3 years to give us an opportunity to prepare them early enough because their academic success in the later years will depend heavily upon their level of preparedness during the Kindergarten education. Ongata Academy collaborates with parents to ensure that young children get profound academic and physical education at Kindergarten level to establish a solid foundation from which young children can easily adapt to school systems and achieve greater academic success.

During the Kindergarten education, teachers at Ongata Academy in coordination with parents and the school management, make extra efforts to ensure that young children develop basic skills, which form the foundation of reading, writing, solving simple math problems, counting and social interaction.

Apart from academic work, we also teach them how to interact with other children, control themselves and cooperate with teachers and their peers while in school. Most of all, we instill discipline in children in very positive ways to improve their self-esteem and encourage them to explore their talents at young age. Our Kindergarten program is designed to improve children’s development in the following key areas:

  • Sound basic education
  • Social skills – playing with other children, sharing, rewarding etc.
  • Self-awareness and respect for others
  • Emotional skills – helping them to understand their feelings
  • Language and numeracy skills – reading stories and counting objects
  • Group activities – talking, singing, drawing, making objects etc.
  • Exposure to new ideas and many more.
